Have you Been Seeing Deer?

The Keira Bradley Foundation recently donated $5,000 to help young adults transitioning out of foster care after their home was destroyed in the Compassion Ranch fire.

We were so grateful to help—but even more powerful was how clearly Keira guided us using deer as signs… beginning before the fire ever happened.

Two days prior, a deer stood frozen in our yard, locking eyes with me. As I reached for my phone, it was gone and at that same moment, Lyla texted me a picture of a ladybug.

Later, two deer ran across the road in front of us just as I said the word “deer.” An hour after that, Mike texted about the 222s he had just seen in Costa Rica, and a deer ran past him. Tyler and Abi were assigned golf cart #22, and a deer ran by them.

Each of us saw deer within 24 hours—including Matty, who already had.

This thread kept unfolding. If I talk to someone they either had just seen a deer or would see a deer the next day. Not just one or two people.  Many, many people.

Then a suggested follow popped up on my feed: Deer Creek Farm—a division of the nonprofit that runs Compassion Ranch. When I saw the post about the fire, I sent it to our family chat with a message:
“This is why Keira has been sending us deer. We are supposed to help.”

Tyler replied: “I just saw two deer 10 minutes ago.”
Matty sent a photo of a deer that appeared in front of her as she received my text.

I sent the post to the moms of Keira’s friends and one was sending me the same post at the exact same time. I told them, “You’re going to see deer now too.” Within 20 minutes, one walked in front of her car.

I met with the director of Compassion Planet and offered our support. I didn’t need a plan. I deeply know and have been shown that we will know who to help next.

Even in writing this post I have been nudged to do it with deer signs. Every time I think about it, someone sends me a picture of a deer they have just seen.

Every. Single.TIme.

Keira saying “yes, tell them about the deer so they will see them too”

And just now—as I finished writing this—Mike walked in the house and said,
“I just saw a deer.”

Of course he did.

Thank you for supporting the Keira Bradley Foundation even if it is just to share this message.
